The Road to Health Youth Day sponsored by Kaiser Permanente offers a variety of fun and exciting activities to 4,500 middle school students in each tour city. The students can get amped in the Cardio Zone with rock climbing, golf, tennis, basketball, and skateboarding! They can meet celebrity stylists, walk with Olympians, and taste some of their favorite foods. They’ll also get a chance to watch live performances and participate in awesome workshops all while enhancing their overall understanding of health, leading them to make healthier lifestyle choices.

Below, you are provided with a brief description of Youth Day’s main highlights and a listing of the day’s workshops. You can click the registration link and register your school for Group A, B or C (whichever scheduled times work best).


Registration is free and all pre-registered Youth Groups receive a free T-shirt and goodie bag. We sincerely thank you for your interest in making your community a healthier one, and we look forward to seeing you in Oakland!!!

Main Stage:
Main Stage features a live, entertaining, celebrity filled segment where local celebrities discuss health concerns and educate youth ages 11 to 14 on the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity based on personal experiences.

Youth Day Workshops:
30 minute workshops inform youth in urban communities about health risks that they are predisposed based on their ethnic backgrounds and encourages them to make healthy lifestyle changes.

The Expo Floor:
	A rock climbing wall, tennis court, soccer, boxing ring, dance pavilion, cooking pavilion and lots of free give-a-ways to children and their families are all on the expo floor. Youth join Tavis Smiley and main stage celebrities for a quarter mile walk circling the entire expo floor.
Career Café:
	Top careers in health, fitness, and wellness are showcased in the career café.
